ACTIVITY

Hermes Sp. z o.o. was founded in 1990 as one of the first Polish private forwarding companies. Its founder and the first President was Andrzej Surowiec, doctor of economics, distinguished in the Polish marine economy. Since 1994 the company has been managed by Tomasz Surowiec.

Mission

For over 20 years of the existence of Hermes Sp. z o.o. special significance has been attached to close contact with Customers. This allows flexible adjustment to their needs changing together with the market. Starting with pre-contract consultation, through the fulfillment of a forwarding order and ending with the settlement of a contract, a Customer is provided with a guarantee of professionally and efficiently delivered service. The selection of reliable subcontractors and constant search for the most attractive transport variants as regards logistics and prices which could satisfy customers constitute the company’s plan for today and tomorrow.

The activity of Hermes Sp. z o.o. exceeds business goals as well. As a global enterprise, socially responsible for the natural environment and people, the company joined the European programme named: “Intelligent Energy”, actively participating in the implementation of the RBANBiogas project and, thereby, contributing to the improvement of life quality.

Services

Hermes Sp. z o.o. specialises in forwarding investment goods, including heavy and oversized items, containerized, bulk and package cargoes. Over the course of 20 years the company has handled over 5 million freight tons of various cargoes by sea, rail, road and river transport, contributing, thereby, to the development of Polish inland transportation.

Thanks to the collaboration with partners in the whole world, Hermes Sp. z o.o. handles cargo traffic on all continents.

Hermes Sp. z o.o. runs its activity on the basis of OPWS (General Polish Forwarding Conditions) 2010.
