Having a full awareness of the idea of corporate social responsibility – covering all the areas of corporate actions, guaranteeing the consistency of vision, mission, business and social goals, as well as environmental goals – Hermes Sp. z o.o. undertakes actions within the following areas:
MARKET – through building the company’s value in the balanced manner as well as transparent and reliable communication about the effects and results of the activity.
In the year 2011 Dan & Bradstreet again granted to Hermes Sp. z o.o. the D & B Certificate of Business Credibility confirming that the company has a very good financial standing and liquidity and that the financial data provides a guarantee of a high level of profitability. The company was also placed in the prestigious group of the FORBES’ Diamonds 2012 – enterprises which have most dynamically been increasing their value in the last three years. The ranking list of the Forbes’ Diamonds was prepared on the basis of the Swiss method of valuation of companies, taking into account their financial performance and value of property, among others: levels of sales, net profit, and value of fixed assets, inventory, receivables and investment outlays.
NATURAL ENVIRONMENT – through ensuring a high level of environmental standards, undertaking initiatives aiming at promoting attitudes of ecological responsibility and minimising a negative impact on the environment.
The company Hermes Sp. z o.o. is a partner of the Polish Biogas Association as regards the implementation of the European UrbanBiogas programme aiming at promoting the use of “landfill” biomethane as an alternative transportation fuel. The Company is a partner of the Canadian company IMW Industries Ltd., a producer of CNG systems for fuel stations and natural gas compressors.
WORKPLACE – through due care of work quality and through raising employees’ professional satisfaction, providing a sense of safety at work and of employment, training and professional development.
LOCAL COMMUNITY – through sports sponsorship.
For a dozen or so years Hermes Sp. z o.o. has been a partner of Gdańsk fencers from the Sietom AWFiS Club, winners of medals on sports arenas in Poland and in the world.
The Company supports amatour sports locally at the school level by sponsoring the School Sports Club named Judo “OPTY”.
